Hi Reader!
Books. Snuggles. Hot drinks by the fire. Whether you live where there is snow already, or an area of long autumns (like me), it’s the perfect time of year to snuggle up with a book and read.
I apologize for not having recommendations for you last month, time got away from me, but I have a few for you today (below!). I am also working on an end of the year reading wrap-up, coming your way next month. I will give you the best – and worst – books I’ve read in the last year, so you can find the perfect book to snuggle down with this winter.
I’ve sent out a couple of short emails about my Black Friday sale, but if you want to save 30% off my picture book, Storm Trucks, my sale is going until Cyber Monday (December 1).
I really appreciate spending time with you every month through this email. Thank you for your support this year with the release of my first book. I have loved meeting some of you at book events and storytimes. Let’s have a great ending to this year, reading together with our family and friends.
When I look back, I am so impressed again with the life-giving power of literature. If I were a young person today, trying to gain a sense of myself in the world, I would do that again by reading, just as I did when I was young.

Author/Illustrator Updates:
With the holidays, I am not doing any events in the next couple of months, but I am continuing work on my upcoming picture book and have been typing away at a Young Adult fantasy novel. It’s early stages for that project (although I’ve had it bouncing around my head for a couple of years already!).
Want an event near you?
I am currently booking storytime events and author visits. These events are fun, interactive, and engaging with songs, fingerplays, and reading for preschool-aged kids. I can also do author/illustrator chats for elementary aged kids.
If you know any stores or schools who might be interested in an event such as this, I would love to connect with them.
